Remote consultations on programming automated systems and services - structured sessions that move from problem definition to a concrete technical plan, without the
overhead of on-site engagement.
Each service is delivered as a focused remote session - typically 60 to 90 minutes - with written output provided afterwards. Sessions are scheduled across time zones, with
availability from GMT to GMT+8.
01
Automated System Architecture
A structured session working through the design of an automated system from component level upward. We examine data flow, event triggers, and failure modes before any
code is written.
Output includes a written specification covering at least 3 integration points, with notes on where the design is likely to need revision as requirements change.
02
Service Integration Programming
Covering API-based connections between services, middleware configuration, and the protocols that govern how separate systems exchange data reliably under load.
Sessions address real integration scenarios - REST, webhook-driven, and message-queue patterns. Where a client brings existing code, we review it directly during the
session.
03
Workflow Automation Consulting
Identifying which parts of a process are genuinely automatable and which are not. This session maps out the decision points, loops, and conditions in a workflow before
selecting any tooling.
Clients typically come in with a vague goal - "automate our reporting" - and leave with a scoped plan covering 4 to 7 discrete steps, each with a defined owner and
trigger condition.
04
System Diagnostics and Code Review
A focused review of an existing automated system - examining logic structure, error handling, and the points where the system is most likely to behave unexpectedly
under edge-case inputs.
Sessions require access to the relevant code or configuration files in advance. Written notes are provided within 48 hours, covering findings and suggested corrections
in priority order.
The people behind the sessions
Specialists,
not generalists
Meridiona has operated as a remote consultancy since 2022. Every session is led by a practitioner with direct experience in the relevant area - not a project manager
relaying information from a technical team.
Sessions are capped at 90 minutes to keep the conversation focused. Clients are asked to submit a brief problem statement 24 hours in advance, which allows the consultant
to prepare specific examples and avoid spending session time on background that can be covered in writing. This structure tends to produce more actionable output than
open-ended calls.
Preparing for your first session
A short intake form is sent after booking. It covers the system type, current stack, and the specific problem you want to address. Completing it takes around 10 minutes
and makes a measurable difference to session quality.
Works primarily on distributed system design and event-driven architectures. Has reviewed systems ranging from 3-service setups to platforms handling over 40
internal integrations.
Saoirse Ó Briain
Workflow Automation
Focuses on process mapping and automation scoping. Particularly experienced with organisations transitioning manual operational workflows to programmatic
control for the first time.
Dagmara Kwiecień
Service Integration
Specialises in API design and inter-service communication. Has worked across REST, GraphQL, and message-queue implementations, with a focus on reliability under
partial failure conditions.
